Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 29, 2026
This policy explains how Vortex Truck & Trailer Repairs handles information in connection with our website, inquiries, customer messaging, and repair services.
1. Information we receive
When you contact us or request service, we may receive your name, company name and address, phone number, email address, messages, photographs, and information about your vehicle or equipment, such as its VIN, unit number, mileage, repair history, and symptoms. Roadside requests may include your vehicle’s location. Service records may include authorizations, invoices, payment status, and warranty details.
Our hosting and communications providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, and delivery or security logs to operate and protect their services. This website does not include an advertising pixel or a visitor analytics script added by Vortex. Linked services may use their own cookies and similar technologies.
2. How information is used
We use information to answer questions, identify equipment and parts, coordinate service and roadside assistance, diagnose and repair equipment, communicate about work and payment, maintain service records, address warranty concerns, prevent misuse, and meet applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations. Please provide only information relevant to your request.
3. Messaging and automated assistance
When you use Google, RCS, text messaging, or another third-party channel to contact us, the platform, carrier, and service providers involved may process message content, contact information, attachments, and delivery information. If automated or AI-assisted messaging is enabled, those providers may process your inquiry to generate a response. Their handling of data is also governed by their own policies. You may call or email us for help from the shop.
Do not send card numbers, bank account credentials, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive financial information through messages. We do not take payments over the phone or through payment links. You can ask us to stop messaging, including by replying STOP where supported, or by contacting us directly.
4. When information is shared
Information may be shared as needed with providers that support hosting, email, messaging, business records, and payment processing; with suppliers or manufacturers when needed to identify parts or handle warranty matters; and with people you authorize, such as your fleet representative. We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security, or a dispute. Information provided to third-party services is also subject to their policies.
We do not sell personal information or share customer messaging information with third parties for their own promotional marketing.
5. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide service, maintain business and warranty records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Retention varies by record type. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website, electronic message, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to ask about information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, or stop optional communications. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for ongoing service, legal, accounting, warranty, or dispute purposes. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law. You may manage cookies and permissions through your browser and the third-party services you use.
7. External links and children
Our website links to services such as Google Maps and Instagram. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Our website and customer messaging are intended for vehicle owners, operators, and businesses, and are not directed to children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
8. Updates and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or practices. The date above identifies the current version.
