Terms of Service

These terms explain use of the Vortex Truck & Trailer Repairs website and customer messaging channels, and provide general information about our services. Individual repair orders and separately agreed service terms govern the work you authorize. Simply visiting this website or sending an inquiry does not authorize repairs or create a booking.
1. Contact and availability
We are located at 8000 Powell Rd, #120, Hopkins, MN 55343. Office/phone hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–6:30 PM; shop hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Central Time. Weekends are normally closed; limited emergency service may be available by prior arrangement. Call to confirm availability. Service is generally first come, first served; an inquiry does not guarantee an immediate start or completion time.
2. Website information and repair authorization
Website descriptions and messages provide general information. A diagnosis, price, completion time, roadside dispatch, or appointment must be confirmed with the shop. Automated or AI-assisted answers, where offered, may be incomplete or inaccurate and do not constitute a binding quote or repair authorization.
Diagnostics and electrical repairs are generally billed for actual time spent. Parts, supplies, taxes, and other agreed charges may apply. Some standard jobs can be priced in advance. Discuss any estimate request, spending limit, or approval requirement before work begins. Any applicable rights to estimates and authorization remain in effect; these terms do not waive rights provided by law.
3. Roadside assistance
Service calls are $200–$300 depending on distance, plus $200 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Parts, supplies, and tax are additional. Jump starts within approximately 30 minutes of the shop are $350; if a jump start does not resolve the issue, regular roadside rates apply. Confirm the applicable charges, location, availability, and payment method before dispatch. Our normal service area is within approximately 45 minutes of the shop.
Messaging is not continuously monitored and is not an emergency dispatch channel. For urgent repair assistance, call 612-440-4006. For an immediate threat to life or safety, contact emergency services.
4. Payments, parts, and warranty
Accepted payment methods: EFS, Comcheck, T-Chek, cash, cashier’s check, debit card in person, and wire transfer. We do not accept credit cards, payments over the phone, or payment links. Confirm payment arrangements directly with the shop.
Customer-supplied parts require prior approval and are generally permitted only when we cannot supply needed parts in a timely manner. Our labor warranty is 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. Parts are subject to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Contact us promptly about a repair concern. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited. Parking and extended storage must be arranged separately with the shop, including the applicable rate and start date.
5. Customer messaging
If you contact us through text, RCS, Google, or another messaging channel, we may respond about your inquiry, service request, repair status, or related customer support. Message frequency depends on your interaction. Your carrier’s message and data rates may apply. Delivery and response times are not guaranteed.
You can ask us to stop messaging at any time, including by replying STOP where supported, or by contacting the shop. For help, reply HELP where supported or call or email us. An inquiry is not consent to unrelated promotional messages. Do not send payment card details, bank account credentials, passwords, or other sensitive financial information through chat. Third-party platforms have their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Responsible use and updates
Use this website and our messaging channels lawfully. Do not send malicious files, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person, or submit information you are not authorized to share. We may update website information and these terms; the date above identifies the current version. Changes do not retroactively change an agreed repair order.
